LOOKING FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON WAVES, COASTS, OR OCEANS?
Created for surfers by surfers, science4surfing is dedicated to working with surfers to understand and conserve the waves that matter most to us. This site is a portal for facilitating collaboration between surfers and scientists. Science4surfing was begun and is led by Dan Reineman as part of his dissertation project at Stanford University. WHY CITIZEN SCIENCE
This approach to conducting scientific research empowers members of the public to partner with the research community to help make new discoveries. Our formula is simple: give surfers the opportunity to collaborate with scientists to share their observations, ask new questions, and learn new things about our waves and oceans. We need your help. Share your wave knowledge. Ask a question. Get involved. Help us keep the pulse of the ocean.
